How To Pray For The Lost

Mark 10:27 - "With God all things are possible."

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 - "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

 

1) Pray that the works of the enemy will be torn down - such as false doctrine, unbelief, wicked habits, etc.

2) Sinners are purchased by the blood of Christ but are still held by the enemy - pray for their freedom from Satan.

3) Pray in the name of the Lord Jesus.

4) Pray for them as ones who have been secured by the blood of Christ.

5) The lost should be claimed by name as God's purchased possession, in the name of the Lord Jesus on the basis of His blood.

6) Pray that their conscience will be convicted.

7) Pray that they will repent.

8) Intercession MUST be persistent.

9) Remember you are praying against the enemy (awful power and darkness).

10) Continue praying as Satan yields only what and when he must, and renews his attacks in subtle ways. We are fighting for souls whom Christ died when we pray like this.

11) Let the Holy Spirit give direction how your prayers should go. Satan will do everything to silence our intercession and to block our attacks against him.

12) NOTE: We must understand our enemy.
          Know our authority in Christ.
          Know how to use our spiritual weapons.
          We must keep at it.
